LOYOC – UNFPA Cameroon Partnership

Strengthening Youth Empowerment, Peacebuilding, and Inclusive Development in Cameroon

Local Youth Corner Cameroon (LOYOC) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Cameroon share a strategic commitment to advancing youth empowerment, social cohesion, gender equality, and sustainable peace in Cameroon. Over the years, this partnership has evolved into a dynamic collaboration that combines grassroots engagement with institutional expertise to address complex social and development challenges affecting young people and vulnerable communities.

Through joint initiatives, LOYOC and UNFPA Cameroon have worked to strengthen youth participation in peacebuilding, promote sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), prevent gender-based violence, and enhance community resilience in conflict-affected and fragile contexts. By leveraging LOYOC’s community-based networks and UNFPA’s technical and policy expertise, the partnership has created inclusive platforms that empower young people—especially women and marginalized groups—as active agents of change.
