Full Title: Strengthening Trust and Relationships between Community, Security, and Justice Sector Actors for Improved Security in the Far North Region of Cameroon

Project Summary:
The STAR Project aims to foster trust-building and collaboration on security among citizens, law enforcement, and justice sector actors within communities vulnerable to violent extremism in the Far North Region of Cameroon.
This 24-month project is funded by the U.S. State Department’s Trans-Sahara Counterterrorism Partnership and supported by Search for Common Ground.
It focuses on improving trust and collaboration across communities while strengthening cooperation on shared security challenges, including violent extremism.
Main Objective:
To enhance trust and cooperation between citizens, law enforcement, and justice sector actors in communities at risk of violent extremism.

Project Summary:
The Building Bridges project pilots new initiatives for trust-building, social cohesion, and collaboration on security, governance, and peacebuilding between youth, community leaders, and administrative authorities in Mokolo and Kousseri.
This 8-month project is funded and supported by the Global Center on Cooperative Security.
Main Objective:
To foster trust, social cohesion, and collaboration on governance and peacebuilding among youth, community leaders, and administrative authorities in conflict-prone communities.

Project Summary:
This project builds the capacity of traditional and elected authorities to engage their communities in mitigating hate speech and transforming conflict.
The initiative mobilized 20 traditional and elected leaders for a two-day training that culminated in the Buea Chiefs Declaration Against Hate Speech in Cameroon.
Follow-up activities focus on implementing the declaration’s recommendations.
Main Objective:
To empower traditional and elected authorities to lead conflict prevention and anti–hate speech efforts in their communities.

Project Summary:
This initiative combats the spread of hate speech in schools and raises youth awareness of its dangers to peace and social harmony.
It trains students on message verification, reporting mechanisms for harmful content, and fact-checking.
The project also strengthens LOYOC’s SpreadLove Clubs to serve as ambassadors of tolerance within their schools.
Main Objective:
To counter hate speech and misinformation among youth through education, awareness, and digital literacy.

Project Summary:
The Salaam Initiative supports the education, reintegration, and well-being of children affected by violent conflicts in the Far North Region.
It provides access to schooling, psychosocial support, safe spaces, and basic needs such as food and shelter.
The project also focuses on building socio-economic and life skills for reintegration into formal education systems.
Main Objective:
To improve the lives of conflict-affected children through education, psychosocial support, and safe learning environments.

Project Summary:
Kiddies Corner focuses on the psychosocial welfare and peacebuilding of children affected by violent conflict in the Southwest Region.
Through educational and recreational activities, the project nurtures dialogue, trust-building, and social cohesion from an early age.
Main Objective:
To promote psychosocial welfare and peacebuilding among children affected by conflict through creative and educational engagement.
