The second edition of the NA-nbWE-WE Sports Jamboree, which aims to foster social cohesion,
moral, civic, and entrepreneurial rearmament, as well as healthy living between and among
displaced persons and host communities, was officially launched on July 1st, 2023, at the
University of Yaoundé I Sports Complex, by Local Youth Corner Cameroon and her partners.
The ongoing jamboree wrapped up a competitive and successful first and second weeks in
multiple sports disciplines.

In the male football category, the following teams faced off in Week 1. Team UNITY won 1-0
against team JUSTICE, and team TOLERANCE tied with team LOVE in a 0-0 impasse. Team
LOVE, fell 0-1 to team SOLIDARITY, in the female football category. Team PEACE dominated
their opponent's team, UNITY, on the handball court, winning 37-7. In the second handball
match, team JUSTICE gained the lead and defeated team SOLIDARITY by a score of 22-15.
Basketball contests were competitive, with Team PEACE defeating Team UNITY in the final
seconds of the game and Team TOLERANCE having to accept a loss by Team SOLIDARITY.
The dance challenge was a wonderful experience because the dance floor was lit ablaze. By the
different dance crews who show off exceptional dance moves.

Week 2 was eagerly anticipated, as all of the teams arrived prepared. In the male football
category, team EQUALITY tied team RESPECT at 0-0, which was followed by another 0-0 tie
between teams SOLIDARITY and PEACE. Meanwhile, in the female category, team PEACE
was destroyed 9-0 by team SOLIDARITY. Team RESPECT eased to a 2-0 victory over team
TOLERANCE in the other game. This week, the girls' handball teams played three games. The
first match was between team unity and team equality, which ended with team equality winning.
The second game between PEACE and SOLIDARITY finished with team PEACE winning. The
third game was between teams JUSTICE and RESPECT, and players from JUSTICE were
unable to overcome their opponent’s team Respect. In basketball, team unity overcame team
RESPECT; team tolerance won team justice, and team solidarity won by forfeit over team peace.
At the end of this week's game, the head coach of the Team Respect handball team did not
hesitate to thank the NaWeWe Sports Jamboree organization team for hosting their Jamboree in
a very special way by providing jerseys and transportation for the athletes, a gesture that does not

exist in other tournaments. Week 3 will undoubtedly be a come and see!! Join us on Friday for
